The Waxing Moon

It’s that time again. Time to gather up my courage and vodka and make a second attempt at waxing. First attempt? Semi-fail. I have a plan this time, though. It includes using hard wax on the biscuit, and not waxing everything all at once. I’m going to break it up a little and do the biscuit and my legs on different days. My logic is that by the time I finish one, my pores will have closed back up, making the second one harder to do. Plus, I think part of my problem last time was fatigue- it took a few hours to do everything at once.

I track the moon cycle on my Google homepage, for a few different reasons. The first being that the moon and I have something of a similar rythmn, so I can kind of track my cycle by it. The second reason is that in the Spring, when the fish start to spawn? WH becomes scarce during a full moon. It makes the fish all lovey dovey and that makes WH all itchy to hit the water. Third reason? It’s just interesting.

My only concern is that apparently cutting hair during a waxing moon will make it grow back more quickly. Let’s hope that doesn’t apply here, because if I go to all this trouble to have to start shaving again in two weeks? I will not be a happy camper.
